By doing the NVQ it has made me become more reflective of my practice and has also made me feel more confident about the job I am doing. It definetely helped me to be confident in answering the inspectors questions on my recent OFSTED inspection. I learn't alot about legislation and how the acts relate to my practice. I partcularly enjoyed doing the Child Development project and because of this rediscovered my interests from years ago, the result is that I would be interested in doing a course in child psychology in future.

My special thanks go to Bev Butler for putting up with me! At the beginning it all seemed very daunting as I had not done any studying since having my own children but Bev kept me on target and I finished a month early.

Bev Amison Consultancy delivered ENCO training in house at our setting. It was a very good course that was well delivered and enjoyed by all. The feedback that I had from my staff was that they learnt how to reflect on practice and different aspects of equality and diversity, how to word things and ideas and how to respect equalities. It also gave us an update on the new Equality Act. As a result of the training my staff have more confidence in dealing with equalities issues and we have updated our equal opportunities policy and checked our resources and equipment.
