Since 2003 BACL has been developing a range of services to meet the ever changing requirements of the early years and playwork sector. The Launch of the National Childcare Strategy has identified a breadth & depth of knowledge and understanding expected from childcare workers from the Childcare Induction Standard to Graduate level qualifications. Recognising the professionalism of childcare we deliver an extensive range of management qualifications and courses linked to Human Resource Management to develop those responsible for leading a team.
Our learning collection commences with the opportunity for anyone who is considering childcare as a career option to find out what opportunities there are working in childcare and playwork through the orientation programme of Making Choices, gain an Induction Standard using a national framework, then move on to gain qualifications from level 2 to 4 and assessor awards.
For those learners who are very experienced and have worked within the sector for a number of years there is a legal requirement to keep an up to date knowledge of legislation and working practice. BACL have a selection of short course enables a programme of continual professional development to be accessed by an individual or the whole team within a setting
