Team Building

The course will explore the benefits of teamwork and how to facilitate successful teams within your setting. It will explore individual and team roles and equip learners with the skills and knowledge to support their team. The course will also include practical team building activities that can be taken back to settings.

 

1.    Understand the benefits that successful teamwork can bring to a setting

2.    Identify and value different roles in the team

3.    Know what your preferential role is within a team and how to identify roles within others

4.    Have an increased understanding of different work styles and how to develop leadership skills to maximise employees

5.    Understand, acknowledge and utilise individual strengths

6.    Identify the stages of team development and how to facilitate these processes

7.    Have increased confidence in managing conflict within teams

8.    Understand how to manage change within your teams

9.    Know how to motivate individuals and teams to improve overall performance

10.Be able to balance the needs of individual employees with the needs of the overall team

11.Identify examples of team building exercises that can be used to promote positive relations
