Aim
To explore the Recruitment and Selection Cycle from vacancy identified to vacancy filled. The session will identify and discuss each stage of Recruitment and Selection and provide practical advice to carry out the process successfully.
Objectives
• Explore the importance of good quality Recruitment and Selection.
• Discuss discrimination within Recruitment and Selection and the implications non- compliance.
• Increase understanding of the activities involved and explore the best solutions for your organisation.

1. Know the stages of a systematic approach to Recruitment and Selection.
2. Understand the legal issues and the importance of Equality and Diversity.
3. Understand the relevance of the Job Description and Person Specification.
4. Identify where to advertise and how to target potential recruits appropriately.
5. Understand the types and uses of different selection methods including interviews and assessment centres.
6. Develop personal competence and confidence in the participating in or managing the Recruitment and Selection Process.
