Aim
To explore ways to support workers with responsibilities for promoting positive behavior within their playwork setting
Objectives
1. Define the term ‘behaviour’.
2. Considering factors that can affect our behaviour.
3. Identifying common causes of inappropriate behaviour.
4. Identifying ways to promote positive behaviour.
5. Exploring strategies for staff to support children/ young people who are exhibiting inappropriate behaviour.
6. Exploring ways to help children/ young people with communication, assertiveness and problem solving skills that they can use with confidence to handle difficult situations.
