Launch of new ILM qualifications

The Institute for Leadership and Management (ILM) have recently launched a new range of NVQs in Management and Leadership in line with the QCF (Qualification Credit Framework).

If you are a supervisor, team leader or manager there are lots of benefits to studying for a qualification in management.  It will support you to reflect on your current practice to identify improvements for you and your setting as a whole.  The qualification allows you to choose the optional units that are personal to your job role and therefore will help to identify and fill your development needs.  ILM is Europe’s leading awarding body for leadership and management qualifications and when you sign up to complete a qualification you get free studying membership which entitles you to lots of resources and networking opportunities whilst completing your qualification.

Please find below the new qualifications that we are offering:

The ILM Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Team Leading has been designed for team leaders with a degree of authority for managing resources, looking to motivate their team members as well as achieving agreed outputs. 

The ILM Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management is ideal for first line managers with responsibility for allocating work to team members/colleagues, achieving specific results and some degree of decision making.  The qualification aims to give learners an opportunity to develop their management performance, become more effective and to progress their career.

The ILM Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management has been specifically designed for managers with a wide span of control and accountability for performance, in particular those with responsibility for determining resource allocation and operational methods in their department or organisation.

The ILM Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Management has been designed specifically for senior managers, in particular those with a high degree of autonomy for deploying resources and achieving strategic goals.  The qualification allows learners to build on the skills they already need to operate at this level of management whilst allowing them to focus on specific areas of development.
