Aim of Course

To provide an overview of the Common Induction Standards for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

Specific Learning Outcomes

To know the content of the CWDC Induction Competencies across the 7 standards;
Identify the Principles, values and legislation essential for working with children and young people;
Have an understanding of your role as a worker;
Understand health & safety requirements;
Know how to communicate effectively;
Explore the areas of child development to consider;
Consider the areas of safeguarding children – keep them safe from harm;
Know ways to ensure you develop as a professional working with children.
