An update from Ofsted regarding first aid training accessed by childcare providers
An inquest into the death of a child who choked on a piece of sausage whilst at the day nursery that he attended, has identified that first aid training for nursery staff may not be sufficient to prepare staff to be able to dislodge small items of food from young children especially when firm tummy thrusts are required.
